Graduation

So I am officially done with school. Hooray!! I am now officially a school psychologist!! Graduation was fun but it was also very hot and very long. Whoever decided on black gowns must have not had to sit for 3 1/2 hours in the sun. Josh's parents flew in for my graduation as well as Bear so it was nice to have all of my family here. The pictures are pretty self explanatory, so enjoy!!

Wine Tasting

Finally an update, even though it is way behind. This year for my birthday, Josh surprised me and set up a day of wine tasting with family and friends complete with a limo and everything. We had a blast and I had no idea he had planned everything. My parents, Rosie and Kevin, and Jenn came along for a day of fun. The limo picked us up from my parents and then we headed off to wine country. Our first stop was at our favorite winery, Ponte, of course. 

Next, we were off to Wilson Creek where I don't think we tasted any wines, just 6 tastes each of almond champagne.

Last we hit up Leonasse (not sure on the spelling). As you can see we were having a great time.

After, we headed back to my parents for a delicious dinner of mahi-mahi, rice, salad, and more wine. It was a great day and so much fun. Everyone is ready to go again. Stay tuned, pictures of the house to come. 

Big Bear

So this post is way over due, but better late than never. Josh and I wen to Big Bear for three days over Valentine's day weekend. We found a cute little one bedroom cabin at the last minute and decide to go for it. The drive up the mountain was pretty intense as a storm was heading in, but it brought us some great snow. It snowed from Friday evening to early, early Saturday morning . Saturday it was as clear as could be and a perfect day of fresh powder for snowboarding.

House Update

So we have been busy worker bees since we got our house. The weekend before we had to be out of our apartment, we went to work cleaning, painting the ENTIRE house, ripping out carpet, etc. It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of great help but if I every see another paintbrush again, I will scream :) Once the painting was done, we made the big move with all of our stuff the following weekend and of course it rained off and on. Few days later we had new carpet in the bedrooms and and few more days later, Josh and my dad started installing the hardwood floors. The house is still like a construction zone but we love it and couldn't be happier. As progress continues  to be made, I will post pictures of the finished products.

Finally...We have a house!!

So, finally after 5 months of escrow and dealing with the craziness of the banks, we have our house. Hooray!! It is officially ours. We got the keys Saturday and Josh and I couldn't be more excited. Now comes the long list of things to do like have the water and power turned on, a DEEP cleaning, paint, carpet, and all the fixings. We'll be pretty busy in the next 2 weeks before we have to be out of our apartment but it will definitely be well worth it. 

Christmas

Christmas this year was great! Josh had to work Christmas Eve so I stayed at my parents house and he came straight there once he got off shift early Christmas morning. Bear and Breanna drove down Christmas Eve too. We were all together opening presents and my dad made his awesome breakfast potatoes and breakfast burritos. Later everyone came to my parents for a delicious meal of prime rib and all the fixings. Matt and Angela came over to and baby Katelynne was the center of attention. Everyone could not get enough of her.

It was a great Christmas this year, however we always do miss being with Josh' s family. But this year we were kind of able to. We got them a web cam and Jeremy hooked it up so we were able to see everyone and chat. I even got to see everybody when they were at Josh's grandma's. Technology these days is amazing and makes it so much easier to stay in touch. Merry Christmas!!
