Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken right before Christmas. Of course the day I had the appointment scheduled was one of the days we were having the crazy rainstorm. We made it to the mall and I think they turned out pretty good. I also can't believe that Lily is a month old in these pictures. I also can't believe that she is six weeks today as I type this. Where does the time go?

Lily's 1st Visit to Santa

Lily's first visit to see Santa was a huge success. The mall was crowded and we had to wait in line for forty minutes. Sweet Lily slept the whole time we waited and woke up just as we got to the front of the line. I was nervous she was going to start crying because I knew she was hungry but she ended up doing just fine. Next year might be a different story since she will be one and much more aware of the jolly old guy.

Visitors from South Dakota

We were lucky to have Shannon and Mikenna come visit us and Josh's parents the following weekend. The trips were short but we had a great time watching Lily and they got to get out of South Dakota's cold weather.

Hopefully next time they can all stay longer.

Lily's First Photo Shoot

One of my best friends, Autumn, is an amazing photographer so we had her take Lily's newborn pictures. This was the second try because Lily wasn't too happy the first time. This day she was much more content and the pictures turned out better than I could ever imagine. These are just a few of my favorites, well, they are all my favorites but I couldn't post 140 pictures.

I don't know how I can ever thank Autumn enough for capturing such great photos and memories of our little girl. She definitely has an eye and talent for photography. Thanks so much again Autumn!

First Week Home

Our first week home was quite busy but hard for me since I had to stay laying flat due to the spinal headaches I was getting from my epidural going wrong. But I had lots of help from Josh and my parents which made it ten times easier when I couldn't get up.

The first week home was so special and I was glad my headaches finally went away after that week.

Lily Blanche DeWall

After 29 hours of labor, Lily Blanche DeWall arrived weighing in at 9 lbs, 21 ins. We couldn't be happier. She is such a joy and is already surrounded by so much love!

40 Weeks

Finally, I am going to update this blog. Since Lily's arrival, we have lots of pictures to post but have just been enjoying our time with our little sweetheart. Here is a picture of me before Lily joined us. This is me at 40 weeks. I can't believe I went another week after this. I must have been huge. Little Lily was just not ready to come out yet. As uncomfortable as I was, she was definitely worth the wait.
