The Knopfs Trip to California

Shannon, Jeremy, Wyatt, and Sawyer came to visit us back in May and we were so excited. We had a blast and did so many fun things in just a week. We ventured to Disneyland, the beach, my parents' pool, the park, ran through the sprinklers, the aquarium, and the fire station. Between Shannon and myself we had over 600 pictures, so here are just a few of my favorites.

The first morning after they got here, the boys and I ran through the sprinklers with our pajamas. They had a blast and I had fun acting like a kid again. 

 

We hit the pool at my parents house and the boys were in heaven. They even had ice cream cones and my dad showed Wyatt how to catch a rollie pollie.

The boys had to show me their matching pirate pajamas and eye patches made just for them by Laurie (Josh's mom). Adorable!

One day was spent at Birch's Aquarium and La Jolla Coves. Another day well spent.

Of course a vacation to California is not complete without a trip to the beach. We had perfect weather and could have stayed all day.

Disneyland was a blast. We saw Goofy, the parade and rode a ton of rides. 

Last, but not least, Uncle Josh's fire station. Josh had to work the day they were leaving so I took them to his fire station on the way to LAX. The boys had a blast and even got to ride in the fire truck. 




We had so much fun with the Knopfs. We wish they would move out here so we can always do these kind of things. Thanks for coming to visit us! 

2 Years and Counting

Well, I am a few days late in putting this post up but better late than never, right? Josh and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 14th. I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. 

Here's to many more years to come!!

Graduation

So I am officially done with school. Hooray!! I am now officially a school psychologist!! Graduation was fun but it was also very hot and very long. Whoever decided on black gowns must have not had to sit for 3 1/2 hours in the sun. Josh's parents flew in for my graduation as well as Bear so it was nice to have all of my family here. The pictures are pretty self explanatory, so enjoy!!

Wine Tasting

Finally an update, even though it is way behind. This year for my birthday, Josh surprised me and set up a day of wine tasting with family and friends complete with a limo and everything. We had a blast and I had no idea he had planned everything. My parents, Rosie and Kevin, and Jenn came along for a day of fun. The limo picked us up from my parents and then we headed off to wine country. Our first stop was at our favorite winery, Ponte, of course. 

Next, we were off to Wilson Creek where I don't think we tasted any wines, just 6 tastes each of almond champagne.

Last we hit up Leonasse (not sure on the spelling). As you can see we were having a great time.

After, we headed back to my parents for a delicious dinner of mahi-mahi, rice, salad, and more wine. It was a great day and so much fun. Everyone is ready to go again. Stay tuned, pictures of the house to come. 

Big Bear

So this post is way over due, but better late than never. Josh and I wen to Big Bear for three days over Valentine's day weekend. We found a cute little one bedroom cabin at the last minute and decide to go for it. The drive up the mountain was pretty intense as a storm was heading in, but it brought us some great snow. It snowed from Friday evening to early, early Saturday morning . Saturday it was as clear as could be and a perfect day of fresh powder for snowboarding.

House Update

So we have been busy worker bees since we got our house. The weekend before we had to be out of our apartment, we went to work cleaning, painting the ENTIRE house, ripping out carpet, etc. It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of great help but if I every see another paintbrush again, I will scream :) Once the painting was done, we made the big move with all of our stuff the following weekend and of course it rained off and on. Few days later we had new carpet in the bedrooms and and few more days later, Josh and my dad started installing the hardwood floors. The house is still like a construction zone but we love it and couldn't be happier. As progress continues  to be made, I will post pictures of the finished products.
