Lily-4 Months

So now that Lily is already 5 months old, I figured I should finally post her 4 month pictures. Of course, she would scratch her nose the day before but I think it gives her a little character. She is such a sweetheart. She is rolling over, eating rice cereal and getting too big too fast. She also still has to wear her brace for the hip dysplasia but hopefully we will be done with it soon.

Hip Dysplasia

As most of you know already, Lily was diagnosed with hip dysplasia 3 weeks ago. Hip dysplasia is when the hip socket is too shallow for the ball of the femur which could lead to the dislocation of the hip. It is also very treatable. Luckily, Lily's is pretty mild but the orthopedic still wanted her to wear this brace which keeps her legs in the frog position all the time. We only take it off for baths. It was pretty hard for me at first seeing it on her but she has adjusted so well and it doesn't phase her a bit. She has learned to kick her legs out to the sides so she can straighten them. It is definitely harder on us than it is on her, especially when she gets so excited when I take it off. We go back to the orthopedic on Tuesday for another ultrasound and then hopefully she will only have to wear it at night for a few months. Please keep her in your thoughts that we can be done with this brace soon.

Lily's First Christmas

This year had to be one of the best Christmas because we had Lily here. These are just a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I have to get the rest from my mom's camera. Here are stockings. I couldn't find one to math ours or that I really liked for Lily so I decided to make her one before she was born and then add her name after. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents so we could all wake up together the next morning and then head down to Morgan and Kristen's house.

Smiles

Lily is all smiles all the time. This is one of the first ones I caught on camera. She is such a happy baby and has started cooing and talking to us too. We love her and have so much fun talking to her!
